[Game] Genshin Impact 1.4 news

 

Game developer miHoYo is rolling out a new update for Genshin Impact dropping on March 17. They did release in video of what to expect in the new update but I'll be going over a bit of it here as well if you don't want to watch that 10 minute video.

First off to access the content you'll need to hit adventure rank 20 at least, which isn't too difficult just a bit time consuming. You'll also need to have completed the quest "Song of the Dragon and Freedom." Once those are done and the update drops you'll usually be prompted with an alert (Paimon) to go talk to an NPC to trigger the questline.

miHoYo hasn't given us much information in terms of story progression, however 1.4 will continue the storyline for Dainsleaf. We'll be travelling with him again and take on a new boss.

As for the banner we're going to be able to roll for Rosaria finally! She will be a 4 star so hopefully it won't be too hard to get her. Her Vision will be Cyro and she'll be a polearm user. From what we know her Elemental Skill is "Ravaging Confession," which will move her behind a target and deal Cyro damage from behind. Her Elemental Burst is "Rites of Termination." Rosaria summons an Ice Lance that strikes the ground dealing Cyro damage to all enemies caught in it. It's also speculated that Childe and Venti will return as well on different banners.

Now the gimmick I'm most excited about is "Hangout events." To summarize it you'll pretty much be going on dates with a character that you can choose from. You'll be able to go places with them and have dialogue choices that affect the outcome of the event. It's practically a dating sim. So far Barbera, Bennett, Chogyun, and Noelle are going to be the first ones you'll be able to hangout with, however miHoYo will be adding more characters in the future.
