Gen 4 Pokemon is back

On February 26 Nintendo gave us a new update on what's been happening in the world of Pokemon! The answers of fans (including myself) has finally been heard. We are getting our Diamond and Pearl remake. That's right generation 4 is back! We're taking are nostalgia trip through Sinnoh! The original games released in 2006 for the Nintendo DS and now 15 years later the remake "Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl" will be launched on the Nintendo Switch in later 2021. What version are you excited for? I'm not entirely sure which one I want, but luckily I have time to figure that out. I'm speculating it'll be in November giving how the pattern of Pokemon games seems to release sometime in the fall. But that's not the only news Nintendo has given us...

Pokemon Legends Arceus

Nintendo has announced another Pokemon game after the news of the Diamond and Pearl remake! Pokemon Legends Arceus is a brand new entry into the series. Apparently set in a feudal time period the game is going to be an open world adventure! We don't have too much information currently, (only the trailer they dropped.) But the game looks like a mix of Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild with Pokemon mixed into it, and that mix doesn't look bad at all. The game is scheduled to release in 2022, so I'm sure more news about the game will be released over time as we grow closer.

Starters

People have been speculating that the starter Pokemon of this game are inspired by the feudal time period. Oshawott's final evolution Samurott is that of a samurai, Rowlet's final evolution Decidueye resembles that of an archer. The one that seems odd is Cyndaquil. It's final evolution doesn't resemble anything....until you look at its name, specifically it's Japanese name. In English it's called Typhlosion, in Japanese it's named Bakuphoon (バクフーン). Looking at it's name the translation is accurate for a "typhoon" and "explosion" however in the Japanese language the word "Bakufu"(幕府) means "shogunate," which is a very fitting name for the feudal period.
